Finally, a breath of fresh air in Romanian politics. Călin Georgescu, the ultranationalist critic of NATO and unapologetic advocate for Romanian sovereignty, has sent shockwaves through the establishment by advancing to the runoff in Romania’s presidential election. With an astounding 22.9% of the vote, Georgescu has proven what many have long suspected: the Romanian people are fed up with the globalist agenda and ready to take back control of their nation.

This isn’t just an electoral upset; it’s a revolution.

The People Have Spoken: Sovereignty Over Submission

“Tonight, the Romanian people cried out for peace,”

Georgescu declared after his first-round success. And he’s right-peace from endless foreign meddling, peace from the NATO war machine, and peace from the suffocating grip of the EU’s bureaucratic overlords. For too long, Romania has been a pawn on the geopolitical chessboard, forced to sacrifice its interests to please faceless global elites. Georgescu’s rise is a rallying cry for those who demand a Romania-first agenda.

Unlike his globalist opponents, Georgescu understands that true leadership means standing up for your country, not selling it out. His vision is simple yet powerful: reduce dependence on foreign imports, stop wasting resources on Ukraine, and focus on rebuilding Romania’s self-sufficiency.

Georgescu: The Patriot Romania Needs

Călin Georgescu is no ordinary politician. While the careerists and technocrats in Bucharest parrot the EU’s talking points, Georgescu speaks the language of ordinary Romanians. He knows their struggles-the soaring cost of living, the neglect of rural communities, and the humiliation of being treated as second-class citizens in the EU.

Georgescu’s commitment to national sovereignty has drawn criticism from the usual suspects, but let’s be honest-anyone willing to defy NATO and the EU was bound to ruffle a few feathers. His critics are quick to label him “pro-Russia,” but this is a lazy smear. Georgescu isn’t beholden to Moscow or Brussels; he’s beholden to the Romanian people.

Yes, he’s praised Vladimir Putin as “a man who loves his country.” And why not? In an era of spineless politicians, Georgescu recognises the value of strong, unapologetic leadership. If that makes the Brussels bureaucrats uncomfortable, so be it.

Elena Lasconi: The Globalist Candidate

Georgescu’s opponent in the runoff, Elena Lasconi, represents everything wrong with Romanian politics. A former journalist turned NATO cheerleader, Lasconi is the embodiment of the globalist elite. She talks a big game about reform and defence spending, but her vision for Romania is one of endless subservience to foreign powers.

Lasconi wants to double down on aid to Ukraine and deepen Romania’s dependence on the EU. Her “reformist” credentials are nothing more than a smokescreen for her loyalty to the status quo.

In contrast, Georgescu offers a real alternative: a Romania that charts its own course, free from the shackles of globalist interference.

The establishment media loves to portray Georgescu’s campaign as a fringe movement fuelled by social media, but this couldn’t be further from the truth. His message resonates because it speaks to the heart of Romania’s problems:

Economic Independence
Georgescu’s plan to reduce food and energy imports is exactly what Romania needs. Why should a country with fertile land and abundant natural resources depend on foreign suppliers? Under his leadership, Romania could reclaim its economic sovereignty and provide for its people without relying on global markets.

Ending the Ukraine Drain
While other candidates are eager to throw more Romanian money at Ukraine, Georgescu has the courage to say enough is enough. Romania’s resources should be spent on its own citizens, not on a proxy war that serves NATO’s interests.

True National Defence
Georgescu’s criticism of NATO isn’t about weakness-it’s about realism. He understands that Romania’s security doesn’t come from foreign bases or missile shields but from a strong, self-reliant military.

Georgescu’s success isn’t just a victory for the far right; it’s a victory for every Romanian who has felt ignored, betrayed, and left behind. His campaign has tapped into a deep well of frustration with the political establishment, offering hope to millions who believe Romania’s best days are still ahead.

Some analysts have tried to dismiss Georgescu’s rise as a “protest vote,” but this completely misses the point. This isn’t just a protest-it’s a movement. Georgescu has given a voice to those who have been silenced by decades of globalist domination.

The runoff election on 8 December is more than just a contest between Georgescu and Lasconi. It’s a referendum on Romania’s future. Will the country continue to bow to Brussels and Washington, or will it finally reclaim its sovereignty?

Georgescu’s critics will undoubtedly intensify their attacks in the coming weeks, but their desperation only proves how much of a threat he poses to the establishment. The Romanian people deserve a leader who puts them first, not a puppet for foreign interests.

Călin Georgescu’s campaign is part of a broader movement sweeping across Europe. From Hungary to Italy, nationalist leaders are challenging the old order and standing up for their countries. Georgescu’s success could inspire similar movements across the continent, showing that it’s possible to defy the globalist agenda and win.

For too long, Romania has been a passive player on the world stage. Under Georgescu’s leadership, it could become a beacon of national pride and self-determination. The people have spoken, and their message is clear: Romania belongs to Romanians.

The path to sovereignty won’t be easy, but with Georgescu at the helm, it’s finally within reach.
